Overview

Richard’s career in investment banking, financial and professional services has included involvement with start-ups through to the management of complex multi-jurisdictional businesses. His CEO and Board experiences in South Africa, Australia, the UK and New Zealand have given him a unique understanding of what it takes to adapt to new environments, successfully engage across diverse cultures, and build sustainable businesses. Relevant executive roles have included:

Throughout his career, Richard has supported people to achieve their full potential. In addition to his executive roles, Richard has been involved in numerous coaching and mentoring programs which have given him insight into the motivators of a really diverse group of individuals and how to be an effective contributor to their successes.

 

COACHING STYLE

Richard’s passion for coaching, combined with his business experience provides a sound theoretical and practical approach to his coaching engagements. Since leaving the UK in 2011 he gained accreditation as a certified coach through the International Coaching Community.

Richard’s work is typically with existing or aspiring leaders who have an identified development need, been recently promoted, taken on new or different responsibilities, or are contemplating career changes. His experience is that one-to-one coaching always results in sustainable behavioural change and helps clients achieve congruence between their personal and business objectives.

 

 

 

Richard’s work with leadership teams, whose performance is dependent on successfully combining different skills, experiences and personalities, is informed by his commercial experience and the knowledge that organisations prosper when they are led by high-performing teams.
